Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or closely related field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience including project planning, design, and construction.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in State of Washington, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring.
• Demonstrated experience solving complex technical issues within a multi-discipline work environment.
• Experience managing multiple, complex capital projects within established timeframes and costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare public works and procurement contract documents and cost estimates.
• Stamp and sign engineering or architectural plans as a Professional Engineer or Architect.
• Review and approve shop drawings, interpret specifications, and review change orders.
• Review vendor proposals and external construction plans for conflicts with County facilities.
• Assist with complex emergency repairs of wastewater facilities as needed.
