Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking an experienced Project Manager to administer and execute complex construction projects in Dallas. The role emphasizes safe, profitable, and timely delivery while coordinating owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The position involves transitioning projects from estimating to field, managing schedules with the Last Planner System, and handling contract and change-order processes. A four-year degree and proven PM experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pre-Con managing construction projects, thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, cash flow procedures.
• Four year construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Champions the orderly, timely transition of projects from estimating to field; conducts contract review meetings with requirements, schedules, budgets, and subcontracts.
• Completes close-out requirements and punch lists in a timely manner; handles warranty callbacks to maintain owner/client relationships.
• Coordinates with the Project Superintendent the means and methods for profitable execution; reviews manpower, equipment and material resources.
• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Has overall responsibility for project success, including safety, schedule, profitability, quality and customer satisfaction; personnel decisions impacting the project.
• Manages all billings to ensure timely submission of payment applications and collection of payments.
• Develops the overall CPM schedule with the Project Superintendent and coordinates procurement with Project Engineer; ensures Last Planner System usage.
• Assists in preparing estimates with cost control, equipment needs, constructability, formwork, materials and manpower considerations.
• Participates in business development including client contact, proposals, presentations and negotiations for selected projects.
• Prepares Monthly Progress Report by the 6th of each month with the Superintendent; uses reports to manage costs and project costs.
• Reviews and approves change orders, supplements, and cost control budget adjustments.
• Verifies subcontractors’ insurance and licenses; ensures compliance before starting on site.
• Ensures subcontracts and purchase orders align with prime contract terms and documentation.
