Job summary

AE2S in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Senior Wastewater Project Manager to lead complex wastewater projects, build lasting client relationships, and guide multidisciplinary teams. You will pursue new opportunities and provide senior leadership across municipal infrastructure initiatives.

The role emphasizes project leadership, mentorship, and engagement with industry events, with a strong focus on delivering safe, sustainable water systems for communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 15+ years of civil or environmental engineering experience.
• 10+ years as a project engineer for municipal clients.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel for project/client responsibilities and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex wastewater projects from planning through design and construction.
• Develop long-term client relationships as primary point of contact.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, contractual obligations, quality, and performance.
• Identify, evaluate, and pursue new project and business development opportunities.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, subconsultants, and contractors.
• Provide mentorship to engineers, technicians, and other team members.
• Lead client meetings, proposals, and contract discussions.
• Maintain project/client information in CRM systems.
• Participate in professional associations and industry events.
• Provide senior-level oversight and QA for wastewater collection, treatment, and municipal infrastructure.
