Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Senior Industrial Wastewater Process Engineer in Maple Grove, MN. You will lead planning, design, and optimization of complex wastewater treatment systems for diverse industrial clients, serving as the technical lead on multi-disciplinary teams.

You will work with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders to ensure compliance and value-driven solutions, with opportunities for growth and advanced projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• 10+ years of experience designing water or wastewater solutions.
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and leading multi-discipline teams.
• Experience with food and beverage industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater systems for manufacturers.
• Serve as process technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, guiding selection and integration of treatment technologies.
• Develop treatment solutions via treatability studies, modeling, mass balances, and pilot tests.
• Collaborate with clients and regulators to navigate permitting and ensure compliance.
• Direct technical teams in delivering design deliverables from concept to startup.
• Advise clients, identify optimization opportunities, and support proposals and planning.
