Job summary

AE2S seeks a Wastewater Project Engineer in Maple Grove, MN, or Woodbury, MN, to design, analyze, and deliver municipal wastewater infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with engineers and PMs on study, design, and construction administration for developments and system upgrades.

The role includes mentorship of juniors, client relationship development, and potential involvement in business growth within civil, electrical, and architectural teams. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• 6+ years of experience in municipal civil engineering with a strong interest in the wastewater market sector.
• Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgment and aptitude among peers, management, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional services for wastewater engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors.
• Provide professional services for the design and construction of wastewater collection systems, and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Work within multi-discipline projects that include civil, electrical, and architectural aspects.
• Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities.
• Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work.
• Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and other project team members.
