Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Lead Customer Support Specialist to deliver exceptional service, manage complex inquiries, and coordinate billing and transportation logistics.

This hybrid role requires expertise in waste profiles, DOT/RCRA regulations, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate data handling and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will mentor junior staff, handle escalations, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Billing teams

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in a customer-facing role, preferably in waste disposal or related field.
• Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations applicable to waste management.
• Hybrid role with four days in the office and one remote; offices in Greensboro, NC or Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to clients via phone, email, or in person with timely, precise assistance.
• Mentor Sr Customer Support Specialists and provide advanced issue resolution.
• Communicate effectively to handle inquiries and coordinate with relevant teams.
• Manage data entry, clerical tasks, records control and reporting.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, process adjustments, invoicing and collections.
• Provide quotes, schedule trucking, and price waste disposal based on location and customer type.
