Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in Lithia Springs, GA seeks a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead warehouse operations, manage multiple shifts, and drive safety, service, and cost objectives. This role partners with the Operations Manager and acts as a backup when needed.

You will oversee staffing, space utilization, equipment, and KPI achievement, while mentoring supervisors and ensuring consistent policies across the site. Flexibility for nights/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or a relevant environment.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex operations, multiple teams, or shifts. Preferred: Advanced MHE knowledge and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily and weekly work activities, plan workload and support continuous improvement.
• Keep management and client representatives informed of issues impacting service, safety or cost.
• Lead and oversee larger, multi-shift or higher-complexity operations within the facility.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to supervisors and lead team members.
• Partner with Operations Management to support planning, staffing strategies, and workload forecasting.
• Proactively identify operational risks and develop action plans.
• Ensure SOPs, safety standards and quality requirements are followed across teams.
• Drive achievement of productivity, service, safety and financial KPIs.
• Support cost control initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Act as a primary escalation point for complex employee relations or operational issues.
• Participate in workforce and succession planning and talent development.
• Support implementation of new processes and client requirements.
• Communicate with senior leadership and clients on performance and risks.
• Review operational data to guide decision-making and audits.
• Assist in physical operations to ensure service continuity.
