Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking an Operations Manager for SCP Distributors in Nampa, ID to hire, train, and manage warehouse staff, review orders, manage inventory and freight, and support sales objectives.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3-5 years of operations experience in a wholesale warehouse; 5+ employees managed; MS Office and inventory software experience; salary $60,000–$65,000 with annual bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of operations experience in industrial distribution or warehouse environment.
• Operations responsibility for $5-10 Million wholesale warehouse type facility.
• Experience managing a team of 5+ employees.
• Knowledge of MS Office and Inventory Management software.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, directs and manages all warehouse staff.
• Reviews open sales orders, open purchase orders, open vendor claims, and open transfers.
• Reviews warehouse procedures and ensures proper warehouse safety procedures are followed.
• Consults with regional buyers and/or vendors for price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Manages inventory, controls stock outs and reduces excessive inventory.
• Performs cycle counts to prevent inventory shrink.
• Manages freight expense and approves invoices/freight bills for payment.
• Manages Accounts Payable discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Supervises routing, loading and preparation of orders for shipment and delivery.
• Trains new employees on warehouse procedures.
• Discusses defective goods with quality control to determine root cause.
