Job summary

Atkore in Hobart, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the shift, report to the Value Stream Manager, and drive safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements. The ideal candidate has 5 years of supervisory experience, with lean manufacturing experience being a plus and a background in steel manufacturing.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience in steel manufacturing preferred.
• Technical background in maintenance, industrial or manufacturing engineering required.
• Excellent problem-solving and strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Audits products and processes for conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures or schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Implements changes in working conditions and equipment to increase efficiencies.
• Partners with Safety/HR to investigate accidents and provide corrective actions.
• Maintains consistent and fair labor relations with employees.
