Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Manager Logistics to lead the Distribution Center and oversee warehousing and transportation solutions, with regular customer interface. The role emphasizes strategic planning, continuous improvement, and strong leadership across teams, ensuring safety and operational excellence across accounts.

The position involves managing performance, data-driven actions, and potential P&L responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• Five (5)+ years of managing, leading and developing direct reports.
• One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with the customer to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and solve operational issues with continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees.
• Maintain open and effective communications within work groups and with other groups.
• Review data and identify and implement necessary actions.
• May manage profit & loss statements based on complexity and scope.
• Lead a proactive safety program within the work groups.
• Instruct and enforce location safety management plans, training and processes.
• Monitor the maintenance of equipment for assigned work groups.
