Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Manager Logistics to lead the Distribution Center and supervise the team delivering warehousing and transportation solutions. You will maintain high customer engagement and drive performance for the account.

The role requires strategic planning, LEAN project execution, and strong leadership to coach and develop staff while ensuring safety and operational excellence across the operation.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.
• Five years or more experience in supply chain/logistics/warehouse field.
• Five years or more managing/directing direct reports.
• Three years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred.
• One year or more customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the customer to resolve issues promptly and maintain satisfaction.
• Strategic planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and solve operational issues using continuous improvement and LEAN.
• Hire, supervise, develop, and manage performance of employees.
• Maintain open communications within work groups and with other teams.
• May manage profit and loss statements depending on scope.
• Lead a proactive safety program and oversee equipment maintenance.
