Job summary

Slack is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Vulnerability Management to build and maintain systems that detect, track, and remediate vulnerabilities across Slack’s infrastructure. You will shape strategy for automating vulnerability management and collaborate with security engineers, product teams, and infra partners to scale security tooling.

You will own end-to-end engineering projects, work across teams, and contribute to scalable CI/CD pipelines while prioritizing signal quality and data

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with security focus.
• Deep proficiency in Python and production-grade code.
• Experience delivering end-to-end engineering projects from design to production.
• Ability to work across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture for vulnerability management tooling and workflows.
• Design and develop scalable engineering solutions for vulnerability detection and remediation.
• Drive integration with scanners and downstream systems; assess data ownership and signal quality.
• Partner with infrastructure, platform engineering, and product security teams to embed security automation.
• Identify cross-team gaps and drive solutions to completion.
