Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Vulnerability Management team. You will build and maintain systems to detect, track, and remediate vulnerabilities, driving automation and scale in collaboration with security engineers, product teams, and infrastructure partners.

You will own end-to-end engineering from design through production and operation, focusing on scalable, high-impact security solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder). We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
• 6+ years of industry software engineering experience, with a meaningful portion in security/platform/infrastructure-adjacent domains.
• Deep proficiency in Python, with a strong track record of production-grade, tested, maintainable code.
• Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end engineering projects from design to deployment and operation.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management concepts and remediation in enterprise environments.
• Experience building or maintaining integrations with security tooling like vulnerability scanners or SIEMs.
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience communicating technical concepts clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong judgment in ambiguity and asking the right questions before building.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture for vulnerability management tooling and data pipelines.
• Design and develop scalable engineering solutions for a security org.
• Drive integration across scanners, pipelines, and downstream systems.
• Partner with infra, platform engineering, and product security teams to embed security automation.
• Identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive them to completion.
