Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Vulnerability Management team in the United States. You will build and maintain systems to detect, track, and remediate security vulnerabilities across the organization, driving automation and scale in security operations.

You will collaborate with security engineers, product teams, and infrastructure partners to deliver end-to-end solutions and own complex cross-functional challenges in a high-impact role.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder). Visa sponsorship is not available.
• 6+ years of industry software engineering experience, with security-focused work.
• Deep proficiency in Python with production-grade, tested code.
• Experience owning end-to-end engineering projects from design to deployment.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management concepts in enterprise environments.
• Experience building or maintaining integrations with security tooling like scanners or SIEM.
• Comfort with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong communication of technical concepts across engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural design of vulnerability management tooling and automation.
• Design and develop scalable engineering solutions for security tooling.
• Drive integration strategy across scanners, pipelines, and downstream systems.
• Partner with infra, platform engineering, and product security teams to embed automation.
• Identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive them to completion with or without direct authority.
