Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Vulnerability Management team to build and maintain systems that detect, track, and remediate security vulnerabilities across our organization. This role emphasizes ownership and impact at scale, collaborating with security engineers, product teams, and infrastructure partners.

You will drive technical strategy to automate and scale vulnerability management, ensuring secure software delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industry software engineering experience with a focus on security engineering or infrastructure-adjacent domains.
• Deep proficiency in Python with production-grade, tested code in complex systems.
• Experience owning end-to-end engineering projects from design to production and operation.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management concepts (discovery, classification, prioritization, remediation).
• Experience building or maintaining integrations with security tooling (scanners, SIEMs).
• Comfort with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong communication across engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and drive solutions with or without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical architecture for vulnerability management tooling across ecosystems and environments.
• Design and develop high-quality, scalable engineering solutions with long-term maintainability.
• Drive integration strategy across vulnerability scanners, data pipelines, and downstream systems.
• Partner with infrastructure, platform engineering, and product security teams to embed security automation in the development lifecycle.
• Identify gaps and high-priority problems, propose solutions, and drive them to completion.
