Job summary

Santander US, a global financial services leader, seeks a senior professional to drive origination, structuring and distribution of syndicated bank loans. You will lead deal teams across IG, non-IG, middle market, CRE, and ABL segments, building relationships with clients and lenders while overseeing underwriting and due diligence.

You will manage a pipeline, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to pursue new opportunities, including travel as required, to expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education - Required
• 9+ years of business development or related experience with syndicated loan transactions
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel within assigned territory as required
• Ability to work remotely and independently

Responsibilities

• Initiates, develops and enhances relationships with senior executives at existing clients and targeted prospects to drive revenue and ROIC.
• Develops and maintains relationships with participating lenders to ensure market demand for syndicated loans.
• Oversees underwriting and due diligence for potential transactions to support closing.
• Partners with Relationship Managers on new business development opportunities.
• Oversees junior staff from financial, operational, and industry perspectives.
• Supports management on new business development opportunities related to syndicated bank loans.
• Participates in joint calling with bankers to uncover syndicated loan opportunities.
