Job summary

WSP USA seeks a senior leader to oversee water resources engineering within the Mid-Atlantic Water Group, ensuring high-quality technical deliverables and regulatory compliance. You will guide SME innovation, coordinate across regions, and manage complex stormwater and resilience programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, project oversight, and collaboration with Federal, State, and local agencies to address environmental challenges in a dynamic business climate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering with focus in Water Resources
• 15+ years post-education experience in water resources engineering
• Virginia PE license required (multi-state preferred)
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations and compliance practices
• Experience leading complex stormwater/environmental projects and teams?

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Stormwater, Resilience, and Water Quality across Mid-Atlantic Region.
• Review engineering designs, permit applications, and construction inspections for compliance.
• Lead large, complex projects including budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor oversight.
• Engage with public/private entities on stormwater and environmental programs.
• Foster compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Develop and improve discipline certifications and value propositions.
• Mentor staff and guide performance for sector teams.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver future-ready solutions.
