Job summary

Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi seeks a Vice President of Retail Operations to lead Biloxi retail operations and drive strategic growth while aligning with the organization’s mission. The role focuses on profitability, performance, and governance across multiple stores and teams.

The VP will oversee Directors and Regional Managers, steer budgeting and procurement, and collaborate with the Executive team to expand operations and enhance customer service and community impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a senior leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Five years of thrift retail, manufacturing, or retail sales.
• Strong ethics and integrity; ability to develop staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; adaptable under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail operations and profitability; develop strategies for underperforming results.
• Draft, review and negotiate major contracts with public/private customers.
• Guide team in short and long-term goal planning and execution.
• Supervise Directors and Regional Managers toward budgeted revenue/expense goals.
• Improve production, merchandising and display to meet sales objectives.
• Review monthly financial performance and plan improvements.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and safety standards; regulatory adherence.
