Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is seeking an Associate Vice President of Retail Operations to lead strategy across multiple regions and ensure stores run efficiently, meet sales targets, and deliver exceptional customer service.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 9–12 years in retail with multi-unit leadership experience, strong communication, and a focus on talent development and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• 9–12 years in retail with at least 5 years managing manager-level staff.
• Experience in multi-unit leadership with revenue growth & process improvement.
• Strong leadership, business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask and make fast-paced decisions.
• Ability to build internal partnerships across all levels.
• Experience training managers.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes short- and long-term strategies for assigned retail operations region.
• Ensures stores meet financial, production and labor goals and maintain standards.
• Conducts site visits to review operations and ensure compliance with standards.
• Attracts and develops talent, supports mentorship and succession planning.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements; oversees safety and loss prevention.
• Drives regional financial performance and advises on cost controls and budgets.
• Supports Regional Directors with development and accountability across regions.
• Cultivates a positive culture with open communication and morale.
