Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a senior leader for its Legal, Compliance, and Public Affairs team. You will report to the CLO/CCO and lead across US and international jurisdictions, partnering with executives to guide product, regulatory, licensing, litigation and enforcement work.

Strong strategic thinking and cross-functional leadership are essential. The role focuses on building a cohesive legal function, advising senior management, and ensuring compliance across global operations.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar in good standing are required.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking required.
• Experience guiding product, regulatory, licensing, litigation, and enforcement matters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for Product, Regulatory, Innovation, Licensing, Litigation & Enforcement functions.
• Provide strategic direction across senior legal leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Counsel senior management, executive leaders, board members, and regulators on product and regulatory matters.
• Partner with Product, Technology, Engineering, Bank, and cross-functional leaders for strategic legal guidance on product development and regulatory issues.
• Oversee responses to federal and state regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions.
• Develop solutions with cross-functional leaders to address complex company-wide problems.
• Manage outside counsel and litigation spend within budgets.
