Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a senior leader to head the Legal, Compliance, and Public Affairs functions across the U.S. and international jurisdictions.

You will partner with the CEO and executive team to shape product strategy, regulatory risk, and enforcement considerations. The role demands strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and a track record of guiding high-stakes legal initiatives in fintech or tech.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree required; active state bar in good standing.
• Extensive experience in consumer financial services, fintech, or related litigation and enforcement roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for Legal, Compliance, Public Affairs, Licensing, Litigation & Enforcement.
• Provide leadership to senior legal leaders, aligning priorities and driving organizational effectiveness.
• Counsel executive leadership, board members, and regulators on product, litigation, and regulatory matters.
• Guide cross-functional teams (Product, Tech, Engineering) on compliance and product development within federal and state laws.
• Oversee responses to regulatory inquiries and enforce actions in collaboration with Compliance and Public Affairs.
• Drive enterprise-wide initiatives with cross-functional leaders to solve complex business problems.
