Affirm, Inc. seeks a senior leader to head Legal, Compliance, and Public Affairs, reporting to the CLO/CCO.

The role will lead Product, Regulatory, Licensing, Litigation, and Enforcement teams across US and international jurisdictions, shaping strategy and providing strategic counsel. The ideal candidate will build and mentor a high-performing team, partner with the CEO and executives, and align legal work with business objectives while managing regulatory, litigation, and enforcement risks

Formación

• J.D. degree and active state bar in good standing.
• 20 years of legal experience in fintech/payments, enforcement, or related in-house or government.
• Expert knowledge of federal and state consumer protection lending laws, fintech, payments, and litigation.
• Strong thought leadership and strategic thinking with cross-functional leadership.
• Experience interacting with executive leaders, boards, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to scale teams and mentor senior attorneys and paraprofessionals.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute strategic plans for affirm’s Legal functions based on broader company strategies.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership through senior legal leaders across domains.
• Counsel senior management, executives, board members, and regulators as a trusted advisor.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to guide product development, regulatory, and enforcement matters.
• Oversee responses to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions; mitigate risks.
• Drive organizational growth and ensure alignment of legal work with business strategy.
