North Shore Bank seeks a VP, Senior Lender to cultivate effective banking relationships with new and existing business customers. You will leverage lending knowledge, business acumen, and financial analysis to service a portfolio of commercial loans, deposits, treasury, and payment services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least ten years of middle‑market lending experience.
• Strong credit and underwriting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and sales skills.
• Ability to analyze financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Achieves loan production and deposit objectives through prospecting, developing client relationships, and maintaining adequate loan outstandings.
• Develops a prospect‑calling program and an effective referral network.
• Pursues business banking referrals from all sources within the middle market (revenues between $15–$75M).
• Develops and maintains long‑term relationships with loan and deposit customers.
• Participates in professional and civic groups to network with appropriate businesses and referral sources.
• Performs initial assessments of loan requests and advises customers regarding credit criteria; gathers information and analyzes to structure and underwrite loans.
• Monitors delinquent accounts and takes actions to resolve payment issues; includes renewals.
• Entertains major customers from market area regularly.
• Attends and contributes to weekly business banking sales and credit meetings.
• Closes loans according to policies and procedures.
