Job summary

Citi is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to accelerate our AI transformation journey. You will partner with business process owners and technology leaders to reimagine core processes using AI and build reference solutions with AI agents.

The role requires 3-5+ years in technical roles, deep ML/LLM experience, and strong business acumen. You will mentor future AI practitioners and help scale Citi's AI capabilities in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

3-5+ years in a hands-on technical role such as software engineering, data science, or ML engineering.
Deep, hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents as well as core ML concepts (supervised & unsupervised), NLP, and data modeling.
Demonstrated ability to understand business challenges and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
A proactive and analytical approach with a track record of delivering innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze existing processes, workflows, and pain points; identify AI opportunities.
Design and rapidly prototype AI-powered solutions, including POCs and MVPs.
Bridge communication gaps between non-technical users and core engineering teams.
Stay current with AI landscape, tools, techniques, and best practices in ML/NLP/generative AI.
Define KPIs to measure ROI and effectiveness of AI initiatives.
Create documentation for new AI-driven processes and provide training to ensure adoption.
