Job summary

Citi is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer, AI Transformation, in Tampa, FL, to lead AI-driven reimagination of core business processes. You will prototype AI-powered solutions, bridge business needs and technical teams, and advocate for scalable AI capabilities across Citi.

With 3–5+ years in software/data/ML roles, you will navigate NLP, LLMs and AI agents, define KPIs, and train users to adopt new AI-driven workflows in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on technical experience in software engineering, data science or ML engineering.
• Deep, hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents, NLP and data modeling.
• Ability to translate business challenges into technical requirements and solutions.
• Excellent communication to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proactive and analytical problem-solver delivering innovative AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze processes and identify AI opportunities.
• Design and prototype AI-powered solutions, POCs and MVPs as appropriate.
• Bridge gaps between business users and engineering teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Stay current with AI tools, techniques and best practices in ML and NLP.
• Define KPIs to measure ROI and impact of AI initiatives.
• Create documentation and provide training to ensure adoption.
