Job summary

Citi’s Tampa campus is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our AI transformation journey. You’ll bridge business needs and technical solutions, prototyping AI-powered processes and delivering value across finance operations.

Expect collaboration with stakeholders, clear translation of requirements, and hands-on build of reference solutions using LLMs and AI agents. Hybrid role with three days in office and two remote, offering structured learning, mentorship, and exposure to Citi’s broad

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in software engineering, data science, or machine learning engineering.
Deep, hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents, ML concepts, NLP, and data modeling.
Ability to translate business challenges into technical requirements and solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze processes, workflows, and pain points; identify opportunities for AI impact.
Design and prototype AI-powered solutions, including POCs and MVPs to demonstrate feasibility and value.
Bridge communication gaps between non-technical users and core engineering teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
Stay current with evolving AI tools and practices in ML, NLP, and generative AI.
Define KPIs to measure ROI and effectiveness of AI initiatives.
Create comprehensive documentation for new AI-driven processes and provide training to users.
