Job summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Vice President, Clinical Development Program Leader to shape, lead, and execute clinical strategy across therapeutic programs. You will guide assets from preclinical through IND submission, FIH, and late‑stage trials, ensuring scientific rigor, patient safety, and alignment with corporate priorities.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and drive regulatory interactions with global agencies, while mentoring clinical scientists

Qualifications

MD or DO required; board certification in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Hepatology or related field preferred.
10–15+ years of clinical development experience, including leadership of early‑phase and late‑stage programs.
Proven success leading clinical programs across all development phases, including regulatory filings and launches.

Responsibilities

Lead cross‑functional program teams and shape product strategy.
Oversee CDP creation from FIH to PoC and late‑stage trials.
Ensure safety oversight, regulatory interactions, and cross‑functional collaboration.
