Job summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for global Phase I–IV trials. You will drive delivery, manage budgets, and partner with Clinical Development and cross-functional teams to support development objectives.

The role requires building scalable processes, mentoring staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance while advancing multiple complex programs in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in Phase I–IV clinical trials.
• Experience in Biotech/pharmaceutical settings and dynamic environments.
• Strong leadership and regulatory compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for global Phase I–IV programs.
• Oversee portfolio execution, budgets, and timelines to meet milestones.
• Lead planning and execution of complex trials from start-up to closeout.
• Develop operative strategies and risk mitigation for study delivery.
• Ensure trials comply with ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA, and regional regulations.
• Lead CRO selection, contracting, and vendor oversight.
• Represent Madrigal with investigators, governance bodies and external partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for protocol development and study design.
• Maintain study-related documents and regulatory submissions from an operational lens.
• Oversee site identification, activations, enrollment, and retention strategies.
