Job summary

Stifel in St. Louis seeks a Senior Vice President, Commercial Real Estate to lead complex CRE loan opportunities from origination through closing and servicing. You will assess borrower needs, underwrite cash flows, and ensure compliance with laws and bank policy.

Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years in CRE lending, strong financial analysis and regulatory knowledge, and a proven capacity to mentor analysts while cross‑selling across divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 7–10 years of CRE lending, corporate lending, or related experience.
• Advanced financial statement and credit portfolio management knowledge.
• Strong written and oral communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Identify, structure, close and monitor commercial real-estate loan opportunities.
• Underwrite opportunities, analyze financial statements, and develop cash flow models.
• Negotiate Credit Agreements to facilitate loan closings.
• Lead ongoing credit evaluations, quarterly reporting, and regulatory reviews.
• Mentor CRE analysts and collaborate across divisions.
