Job summary

Cathay Bank seeks a strategic Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer to lead the design, governance, and enhancement of the enterprise-wide Compliance Management System (CMS) and drive effective regulatory compliance across all lines of business.

The CCO will oversee consumer protection, fair lending, CRA, privacy, regulatory change, and monitoring/testing programs, reporting to the Board and executives with actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 10–15+ years banking compliance experience.
• 7–10+ years leading compliance teams.
• Experience at FDIC, OCC, Fed, or CFPB regulated institutions; international exp.
• Strong knowledge of CRA, Fair Lending, Privacy and Consumer Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain an enterprise-wide CMS aligned with bank objectives.
• Manage Compliance Department: Deposit, Fair Lending, Credit, Privacy, and Training.
• Oversee regulatory change management and compliance monitoring/testing.
• Report to Senior Management and the Board on risk profile and issues.
• Provide advisory support to business leaders on regulatory obligations.
