Job summary

Five Star Bank is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the organization’s compliance and ethics program, including Fair Lending and CRA initiatives. The CCO reports to the Board and Risk Oversight Committee, guiding strategy across risk, policy governance, testing, and issue remediation to maintain a robust CMP.

As a senior leader within Risk, the CCO collaborates with business lines to drive a culture of compliance, manages the second line of defense, and aligns activities with regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, organizational leadership or related curriculum.
• 10+ years progressive banking compliance with a thorough understanding of CMS and regulatory expectations.
• 7+ years progressive management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s compliance strategy and CMP.
• Oversee regulatory change management and policy governance.
• Chair the Compliance Committee and report to the Board and senior management.
• Manage training, risk assessments, testing, monitoring, and issue remediation.
• Coordinate with regulators, auditors, and control groups on compliance matters.
