Job summary

Axess Family Services, Inc. is seeking an AmeriCorps Seniors Coordinator to recruit, train, and place Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion volunteers in Stark and Summit Counties.

The role oversees operations, ensures proper stipend processing, and supports grant reporting while traveling within the state as needed. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (preferred), strong communication skills, and the ability to manage documentation, budgets, and volunteer events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with Seniors, volunteering and/or social services preferred. Proficient with technology (i.e. computer, phone, data entry), as well as Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion operations in assigned counties.
• Recruit, enroll, and train volunteers with proper documentation and coordinate monthly in-service trainings.
• Verify stipends and manage submissions to the Assistant Director.
• Provide volunteer recognition throughout the year and coordinate annual recognition events.
• Maintain volunteer stations, files, and grant-related paperwork.
• Recruit and direct activities of local Advisory Council members and support National Days of Service.
• Enter data and generate reports for local, state, and federal grant reporting.
• Maintain local program budgets and handle petty cash as needed.
• Assist with compliance requirements and maintain safe work environment.
• Travel regularly within assigned counties and to other locations as needed.
