Job summary

Jarvis Walker & Foster McKay is seeking a Network Engineer specializing in Voice over IP to design, implement, and maintain VoIP and networking solutions for our clients in New York. You will address security, routing, and switching, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice services with existing infrastructure.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and strong hands-on experience with SIP, CUCM, SBCs, and related tools, plus the ability to troubleshoot complex voice-network

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer focused on Voice over IP technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, RTP/RTCP protocols.
• Proficiency with CUCM or other major VoIP platforms.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement VoIP/networking solutions to meet business requirements.
• Manage Cyber security of local and remote network infrastructure.
• Design & Implementation of routing & switching technologies & platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VoIP systems with existing infrastructure.
• Isolate and resolve network related service problems and diagnose issues.
• Establish and implement network management policies for maximum availability.
• Understand hardware and software capacities to enhance network infrastructure.
• Conduct regular network assessments and capacity planning.
• Stay abreast of industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Document network designs, configurations, and procedures for reference.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to resolve critical issues.
