Job summary

SKG Consulting in New York, NY is seeking a skilled VoIP Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain multi-platform voice and data networks. You will contribute to high-availability voice services across hospitality environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT, strong SIP, H.323, RTP/RTCP, TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, OSPF/BGP knowledge, and hands-on experience with CUCM and SBCs. You will be on-call and drive network improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Network Engineer focused on VoIP technologies.
In-depth knowledge of SIP, H.323, RTP, and RTCP.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, OSPF/BGP.
Experience with CUCM and VoIP gateways/SBCs.

Responsibilities

Design and implement VoIP/networking solutions to meet business requirements.
Manage cybersecurity of local and remote network infrastructure.
Design and implementation of routing & switching technologies & platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VoIP with existing infrastructure.
Isolate and resolve network-related service problems and degradation.
Establish network management policies to ensure maximum availability.
Document network designs and procedures for future reference.
Participate in on-call rotation for critical voice network issues.
