Job summary

Conquer is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer, Voice Infrastructure, to own and evolve the systems powering calling, routing, and intelligent workflows. You will design telephony services, work directly with FreeSWITCH and OpenSIPS, and own production SIP signaling and routing in a cloud-native environment.

You will contribute to real-time communication capabilities, observability, and the voice foundation for future AI-enabled features, while collaborating with Engineering and Product to shape

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering with production telephony experience.
• Hands-on FreeSWITCH production experience: dialplans, ESL, troubleshooting.
• Strong OpenSIPS SIP proxy experience; able to build or modify routing logic.
• Deep SIP/RTP knowledge; able to diagnose signaling and media-path issues with captures.
• Experience owning real-time communications in production.
• Strong backend code skills in Go, Python, or similar.
• Experience building and operating Docker/Kubernetes workloads.
• Ability to design reliable, scalable systems with uptime focus.
• Strong observability, monitoring, and incident response experience.
• Ability to move between architecture and hands-on implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale telephony infrastructure and services.
• Work with FreeSWITCH call logic and dialplans.
• Develop OpenSIPS routing and signaling infrastructure.
• Own SIP trunking provider integrations.
• Write and review production backend and platform code.
• Improve observability across SIP, RTP, and media paths.
• Deploy and operate containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to shape long-term architecture for Conquer's voice platform.
• Help ensure the voice platform supports real-time intelligence and AI-enabled experiences.
