Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. seeks a Senior Voice Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise voice infrastructure centered on Microsoft Teams Phone and Direct Routing.

You will troubleshoot Teams Voice issues, provide Tier 2/3 support, and collaborate with telecom carriers and Microsoft to ensure reliable, secure communications. Responsibilities include designing dial plans, call flows, and policies, leading migrations from legacy telephony, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting enterprise voice and UC environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Teams Voice and Teams Phone.
• Experience with Direct Routing and Operator Connect.
• Knowledge of CUCM and Cisco Finesse.
• Experience with SIP trunking and enterprise voice routing.
• Proficient in VoIP protocols: SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Clear verbal and written communication; able to explain technical topics to non-technical users.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Teams Phone solutions.
• Troubleshoot Teams Voice, Direct Routing, and Operator Connect issues.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise voice infrastructure.
• Document troubleshooting activities in the ITSM platform.
• Collaborate with carriers, Microsoft, and vendors.
• Escalate complex issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Support enterprise voice, video, and collaboration services.
• Design and maintain dial plans, voice policies, auto attendants, and call queues.
• Implement and support SIP trunking and Direct Routing.
• Lead migrations from legacy telephony to Teams Phone.
• Perform maintenance, patches, and security updates.
• Monitor call quality, system health, performance, and capacity.
• Create technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Participate in incident response and continuous service improvement.
