You will mentor junior engineers and create technical presentations for peers and management, contributing to AMD's culture of execution excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in high-speed VLSI design.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and design tradeoffs.
• Knowledge of floor planning, bus/pin planning, clock tree synthesis, placement, optimization, routing, and sign-off.
• Comprehend complex Verilog RTL and modify for timing or power.
• Knowledge of digital circuits, high-speed flops, synchronizers, level shifters, SRAM.
• Familiar with Perl, C, TCL, etc.
• Experience with AI agents to increase engineering efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Technical lead for high speed VLSI design in deep submicron processes.
• Collaborate with RTL and physical designers across sites to optimize power, performance, area, and schedule.
• Solve design and tool problems with innovative approaches that use AI-native skills.
• Create technical presentations for peers and management.
• Mentor junior engineers.
