Job summary

Sandisk is seeking a Senior VLSI CAD Engineer in Milpitas, CA to drive design environment management and automation for Product and TEG chip development. This role focuses on CAD workflows, automation scripts, and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance design efficiency.

Required are 2–5 years in VLSI CAD development, scripting in SKILL/TCL/Perl/Python/C-C++, and familiarity with Virtuoso, Calibre, ICV, and related CAD tools.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of VLSI CAD development experience required.
• Experience in team management is advantageous.
• Proficiency with SKILL, TCL/TK, Perl, Python, C/C++ and C-Shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design Automation and Methodology establishment using SKILL/Python/TCL/PERL.
• Develop and maintain CAD automation and related scripts.
• Create and maintain PCells (PCell) for schematic/layout productivity.
• Develop DRC runsets using Calibre and LVS runsets using ICV.
• Collaborate with IT and design engineers to resolve CAD infrastructure issues.
