Job summary

Macy’s Bethesda is seeking a Manager, Visual Merchandising to elevate the customer experience through creative merchandise presentations, seasonal styling, and compelling floor plans. You will refresh fashion presentations frequently and partner with Style Merchandise Managers to align workload, new receipts, and visual storytelling.

You will lead training, recruit talent, analyze reports for strategic decisions, ensure promotional accuracy, coordinate floors and fixtures with store leaders, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft reports and present to management.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Re-establish training standards and tools to enhance institutional skill levels.
• Increase the frequency of style/outfit refreshes to excite repeat and attract new customers; test frequency and detail of VMDs.
• Foster a symbiotic partnership between managers, coordinating workload planning, new receipt placement, visual styling and sales optimization.
• Evaluate shopper experience by placing visuals to boost sales and store profitability.
• Ensure displays are accurate, attractive, and organized.
• Analyze reports to drive strategic actions with executive alignment.
• Ensure promotional accuracy and proper merchandise placement for events.
• Coordinate fixture and merchandise moves with store leaders.
• Maintain high shortage awareness and enforce policies.
• Guide merchandising standards and fixture usage across teams.
• Foster an inclusive environment and authentic connections with colleagues and customers.
