Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Hardware Engineer to lead design release of virtual and hardware components for Electric Power systems. You will define validation methods, build reusable CAE models, and work with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and reliability.

You will apply Matlab/C++ or Python, use CarSim/Prescan/Saber/SIMULINK, and leverage ANSYS/Sherlock for vehicle-level analyses, supporting global development programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years experience in automotive or CAE.
• Proficiency in Matlab or C++/Python.
• Experience with CAE/simulation tools (CarSim, Prescan, Saber, Simulink, ANSYS, Sherlock, CFD, FEA).
• Experience with DNG, FMEA and high-quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design release for virtual/actual hardware including power delivery systems.
• Develop and validate simulations and virtual scenarios for Electric Power systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive design optimization.
