Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in product development, systems engineering, or software/hardware connectivity.
• Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink or similar code-based modeling software.
• Experience delivering multi-domain models into SIL/HIL/CoSim workflows.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead others and manage multiple tasks with creativity.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity component plant models in MATLAB/Simulink emulating hardware interfaces.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate hardware designs into modeling requirements.
• Implement models for GM CoSim environments with correct I/O and naming.
• Parameterize and calibrate models using supplier data and test results.
• Support integration into system and vehicle-level co-simulation environments.
• Use plant models as virtual harnesses to run what-if analyses and edge cases.
• Document modeling assumptions, calibration, and validation results.
• Lead development of component plant model requirements and deliverables.
• Contribute to modeling standards, libraries, and best practices across GVHE.
• Define system-level modeling strategy across closures, thermal, chassis domains.
• Drive standards for model architecture, fidelity levels, and validation criteria.
• Lead model correlation and validation decisions with acceptance thresholds.
