Job summary

Ghostworks Marine is seeking an experienced Systems Design Lead to head our systems design and engineering team in the marine industry. You will be the technical authority for all vessel systems, ensuring their safe and efficient operation from design through maintenance. You will oversee engineering activities, manage a team of professionals, and guarantee the vessel's technical integrity and regulatory compliance.

Additionally, the role requires U.S. citizenship with no relocation provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of marine engineering experience with leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of shipboard machinery operation, maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, engineering, operation and maintenance of shipboard systems.
• Lead, mentor and supervise a team of engineers.
• Plan, direct, and execute maintenance and repair schedules; oversee contractors.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and safety protocols.
• Manage inventory of parts, fuel and consumables; develop departmental budget.
• Serve as primary technical liaison between systems engineering and company leadership.
