Job summary

SubSea Craft seeks a senior engineering leader to direct USV engineering across the US Operations unit. You will act as Design Authority, guiding platform variants and delivering customer-driven capability improvements.

You will build and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring systems engineering discipline, lifecycle management, and compliance with defense standards, while collaborating with customers, partners, and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years in defense, maritime, aerospace, autonomous systems or robotics.
• Experience as Chief Engineer, Design Authority or equivalent senior technical leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience delivering complex defense or regulated engineering programmes; strong systems engineering and PLM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical development and direction for all engineering aspects of USV for the SubSea Craft US Operations unit.
• Act as Design Authority for operating unit programmes and platform variants.
• Build, lead, and develop the operating unit engineering organisation and multidisciplinary teams.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Oversee systems engineering, requirements management, verification, validation and technical review activities.
