Job summary

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. seeks a seasoned Maritime Vessel Chief Engineer to lead engineering operations on our fleet. You will operate and maintain vessel systems, supervise crew during sea trials, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Strong leadership, decision-making, and emergency response skills are essential to keep vessels running safely and efficiently. Requirements include a High school diploma or GED with 3+ years as Chief Engineer, MMC/TWIC/USCG Medical,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 3+ years as Maritime Vessel Chief Engineer.
• Valid MMC, TWIC, USCG Medical Certificate with STCW date.
• Proven supervisory ship crew experience for sea trials.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all vessel equipment and systems.
• Maintain engine room logs and records.
• Oversee maintenance schedules and safety procedures.
• Ensure PPE, SDS, and lockout/tagout procedures are followed.
• Lead ship safety and emergency response.
