Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a Managing Partner for Future Back Ventures, Bain’s strategic venture capital platform. This role defines the fund’s long‑term investment strategy, governs capital deployment, negotiates terms, coordinates diligence, and leads decision discussions with the IC and portco support to maximize returns for our LPs.

Qualifications

Deep expertise in early‑stage investing and portfolio construction.
Track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing venture investments.
Experience fundraising for new or follow-on funds and engaging high‑net‑worth investors.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the fund architecture, investment strategy and portfolio construction for Future Back Ventures.
Lead fundraising activities, engage LPs and govern capital deployment.
Oversee portfolio governance, exits, follow-ons and alignment with Bain priorities.
Lead and develop the venture investment team and establish scalable processes.
Engage alumni network and external partners to build a differentiated value proposition for founders.
