RTX is seeking a Vendor Manager for the East Hartford Repair Operations (EHRO) Aftermarket Vendor Team. You will lead supplier performance, ensure delivery assurance, and optimize relationships with repair service vendors at our East Hartford site.

The role requires advanced degrees or equivalent experience in operations-related fields, plus 7+ years in relevant industries and 2+ years of people management. Onsite work with up to 10% travel and collaboration with internal teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Operations Management, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Military, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry.
• 2+ years of personnel management experience, ideally within a bargaining unit / union workforce.
• 3+ years in a delivery assurance or supply chain role working with suppliers and internal customers.
• Experience communicating with all levels of management.

Responsabilités

• Lead EHRO Aftermarket Vendor Team with strategic direction and operational oversight.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for supplier and internal customer issues.
• Oversee delivery assurance and supplier performance to meet organizational goals.
• Manage compliant order processing and price negotiations for repair services.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve challenges and align with business objectives.
• Report directly to the EHRO Materials Manager, providing regular updates on vendor team performance.
• Travel: Up to 10% to suppliers, trade shows, site benchmarking, etc.
