Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford is seeking a Vendor Manager for the EHRO Aftermarket Vendor Team. You will lead supplier performance, ensure delivery assurance, and optimize supplier relationships to meet business goals.

You will oversee order processing, price negotiations, and collaborate across internal teams to drive improvements. Travel up to 10% is expected; role is onsite and reports to the EHRO Materials Manager.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 7+ years in Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Military, Aerospace or Aftermarket industries or a Bachelor’s with 10+ years relevant experience.
• 2+ years of personnel management in a bargaining unit environment.
• 3+ years in delivery assurance or supply chain roles with suppliers and internal customers.
• Strong leadership and communication in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the EHRO Aftermarket Vendor Team with strategic direction and oversight.
• Serve as primary escalation point for supplier and internal customer issues.
• Oversee delivery assurance and supplier performance to meet goals.
• Manage compliant order processing and price negotiations for repair services.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve challenges and align with business objectives.
• Report to the EHRO Materials Manager with regular updates on performance and initiatives.
• Travel up to 10% to suppliers, trade shows, site benchmarking, etc.
