Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Engineer Subsystems Aeronautical Design in Palmdale, CA to lead hydraulic and electrical subsystem development from concept to sustainment. The role requires a STEM degree and substantial aerospace experience, with responsibility for guiding projects and coordinating with suppliers.

The successful candidate will act as SME for a multidisciplinary team, communicate with senior leadership, and support security clearances while advancing

Competenze

• Bachelor in STEM with 12+ years aerospace design experience or MS with 10+ years or PhD with 8+ years.
• Proven experience leading a system’s development from concept to sustainment.
• Strong project-management capabilities.
• Experience acting as SME for an engineering team of 10+ members.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to brief senior executives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance and a SAP clearance.

Mansioni

• Create hydraulic and electrical schematics for systems, selecting conductors and components.
• Lead trades studies, layout development, architecture definition, system testing and verification.
• Manage subcontractor teams and act as technical contact during hardware development and procurement.
• Develop and execute system-level test plans and verify requirements.
• Present technical briefings to senior leadership.
