Job summary

Waabi is seeking a Vehicle Operator Trainer to lead onboarding and on-road instruction for Vehicle Operators at our Dallas operation. You will deliver structured training across VO phases and translate engineering updates into practical driving guidance.

Responsibilities include ride-alongs, logging trainee progress in the LMS, administering compliance modules, mentoring trainees, and coordinating with the Training Manager to keep training materials current with SOPs, software updates and new

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years direct experience as a Vehicle Operator or in a similar driving role in transportation, logistics, or autonomous vehicle industry.
• Valid CDL with clean driving record; Class 8 vehicle experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver structured, safety-critical training and on-road assessments.
• Strong communication and feedback skills for operators at all levels.
• Rigorous record-keeping and LMS/tracking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Directly conduct new-hire onboarding for Vehicle Operators and deliver full training curriculum.
• Deliver structured instruction across all VO and field phases.
• Administer compliance modules and MRT scenarios, track performance and provide documented feedback.
• Translate engineering/safety updates into practical driving guidance for VOs.
• Log trainee progress in LMS and Jira; maintain current training materials with SOPs and software updates.
• Mentor high-performing VOs through train-the-trainer programs.
