Job summary

Waabi is expanding its Training and Compliance Team and seeks an experienced Fleet Specialist Trainer to lead the curriculum that keeps autonomous trucks safely operational in the field.

You will conduct onboarding, deliver comprehensive VO and FS training, and ensure trainees achieve proficiency thresholds while aligning with engineering changes and field procedures. This role emphasizes hands-on instruction, safety, and continuous learning across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience as a Fleet Specialist or equivalent field operations role supporting autonomous or Class 8 vehicles.
• Strong technical aptitude with hands-on experience diagnosing and operating autonomous vehicle systems, onboard hardware, and software interfaces.
• Experience delivering structured, safety-critical training and performing performance assessments in a hands-on field environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new-hire onboarding for Fleet Specialists, delivering the full training curriculum from classroom to field certification.
• Deliver structured instruction across all VO and FS phases.
• Guide trainees to meet defined proficiency thresholds and act as primary technical instructor for vehicle systems and platform procedures.
• Deliver and assess PST and MRT training modules ensuring safety and independence, including post‑training recertification.
